- Safety skills (boat safety, current, tides, swimming with a partner, etc.)
- Ability to float (on front and back)
- Breathing underwater (blowing bubbles)
- Kicking
- Elementary backstroke
- Regular backstroke
- Breast stroke
- Front crawl
- Treading water
- Basic life-guarding saves

- Teacher Aide Program
- Swim to Empower Council
- Environmental Education Section (Nature Nugget)
- Snorkeling
- Expansion of program to three settlements (Wemyss Bight, Green Castle and Gregory Town)
- 3 day swim clinics scheduled during school vacations
- First-aid Classes (PTA meetings, Church Youth Groups, Deep Creek Middle School)
- Expansion of adult lessons
