Swimsuit and Goggle Drive
Swimsuit and Goggle Drive We give free swimsuits and goggles to each of our students, as many have never been in the water in their life! Work with your local swim club, yacht club, YMCA, etc to collect used swimsuits and goggles. We will work with you, providing information and supplies, to have a successful and easy drive.
Marine Book Drive Help us solve the information gap by collecting books about marine species and ecosystems. Environmental education is central is creating a love for and stewardship of the ocean. As little as 10 books can make a world of difference in the lives of the local children. We will work with you, providing help and information, to have a successful book drive.
Film Screening Raise awareness about the paradox of living on an island and not knowing how to swim by planning a film screening of the documentary, Free Swim. We will work with you to plan the event and create a night that educates and empowers. Click here to view the Free Swim Trailer.
Donate Your Time Swim around an island like Nella Young and raise money through sponsorships for Swim to Empower. Check out Nella’s swimming expedition on her sites www.nellayoung.com and firstgiving.com for swimtoempower. Run a half marathon or participate in another sports event and create a fundraising page through Facebook’s Causes or Firstgiving’s website.
